IFRS 9 WORKSHOP HELD

The Association of Montenegrin Banks organised presentation and interactive workshop of IFRS 9 which was held by PricewaterhouseCoopers in the premises of the CBCG on 20 March 2017. Lecturers were Saša Todorović, Nikola Stamenić and Jock Nunan. MEETING WITH BANKING OMBUDSMAN

Bratislav Pejaković, Secretary General of the Association of Montenegrin Banks, and Nebojša Đoković, Advisor, met today with Halil Kalač, Banking Ombudsman, in the premises of the Association. Mr. Kalač presented problems he is facing and pointed out the need of the financial education for citizens and clients of banks. Therefore, he has already discussed with the CBCG management about this topic and announced the organisation of periodic presentations in some of the towns of Montenegro on basic banking terms and services. This would facilitate both the operations of banks and clients that had problems due to insufficient information and misunderstanding.

WORKSHOP HELD ON DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The presentation and workshop organised by the Association of Montenegrin Banks was held in its premises on 9 March 2017. The lecturer was Petar Dimić, who presented with his associate the DMS solutions of the software company Taurons and ITT that cooperates with banks, insurance companies and state institutions. MEETING IN THE DEPOSIT PROTECTION FUND

A meeting with the representatives of the Deposit Protection Fund was held today which was attended by: Predrag Marković, Director of the Fund and his associate, Snežana Ivanović, and Bratislav Pejaković, Secretary General of the Association and Nebojša Đoković, Advisor. Mr. Marković informed the representatives of the Association on current activities of the Fund, particularly on the completed stress-testing of five banks (Atlas Banka, Erste Banka, Hipotekarna Banka, NLB and Addiko Banka), which was ran on voluntary basis. Presentation on Business Intelligence

A seminar was held on business intelligence in the premises of the Association of Montenegrin Banks on 28 February 2017. The seminar was held by the company ITBO from Belgrade that cooperates with a number of banks in Serbia and large corporations in the country and abroad.
