On 28.11.2024. In the Association of Banks of Montenegro, a meeting was held between the General Secretary of the UBCG and the representative of the CBCG, who, with the partnership support of the EBRD and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, joined the global initiative to strengthen the economic potential of women through the realization of the We Finance Code project in Montenegro.
It is an initiative through which financial service providers, regulators and other actors from the private and public sector undertake to work together to increase the financing of micro, small and medium enterprises businesses owned and/or operated by women.
The goal is to increase the visibility of labor inclusion. For financial institutions, this involves monitoring five jointly agreed indicators, broken down by gender: Number of MSME business clients (number and amount in euros) MSME loan applications and approvals (number and amount in euros) NPL for MSME 8%) MSME deposits in euros and depositors (number).
On 11/29/2024. a workshop was held by representatives of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management for various institutions, from banks, MONSTAT, microcredit, IRF to ministries involved in gender equality programs. At the workshop, a large number of data from the region and opportunities that can be realized through the announced project were presented.
