TWINING PROJECT CEREMONY

19.11.2025. The representative of UBCG attended the official opening ceremony of the twinning project “Support to the regulation of financial services in Montenegro”, which is financed from the funds of the European Union (EU), held in Podgorica. The project lasts 24 months, and the total budget, which is fully financed by the EU, amounts to 1.8 million euros.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the efficiency, responsibility and security of the financial sector of Montenegro, thereby contributing to the overall financial and economic stability. The purpose of the project is to further harmonize legislation, supervisory practices and standards with the EU acquis, as well as to strengthen the institutional, regulatory and administrative capacities of the Central Bank (CBCG) and the Insurance Supervision Agency (ANO).

The ceremony was addressed by, among others, EU Ambassador to Montenegro Johan Satler, Governor of the CBCG Irena Radović, President of the ANO Council Marko Ivanović and representatives of the Croatian National Bank, the National Bank of Slovakia and the National Bank of Romania.
